I NEED HELP RECOVERING MY LG Optimus V

I tried installing a custom rom and i forgot to clear cache and data and not it just goes to a black screen i need help please.

Re-flash the rom, data or cache not being clear will not cause that problem. A bad flash can, as can a rom not meant for your phone.

If you have the newer phone, you need Harmonia 1 or 2, a Xionia based rom, or one of the other IHO roms.

i try to go to recovery mode but it does nothing.

How did you install the rom without knowing how to get to recovery?
Oh wait, let me guess, Rom Manager.

Pull the battery, put the battery back in, then hold home, vol. down and power until you see LG on the screen.

And if you did use Rom Manager uninstall it.

okay i did that and nothing happened it just showed a black screen. and yes i used rom manager. it turns on and does the lg logo and i let go of all buttons and then it just sits on a black screen.
