I need help unlocking my phone

Phone will not unlock since last night. Won't take fingerprint and I don't remember my password.

Welcome to Android Central! Fingerprint unlock still requires you to enter your backup password, PIN, or pattern periodically, for extra security (e.g., upon a cold boot). If you've been using your phone lately, you must have been entering the correct password -- you don't remember it?
