i need help with water damage?

so i have a moto x play (2015), today i was at the beach and i thought i left it in the car but after 10 minutes i saw it in the water next to me. I panicked and immediately started to dry it out. Once i got home i realized the screen was still working but the phone cant get past boot up. i even tried to use recovery to launch it. it didnt work and kept getting stuck at the android logo. I have it in a bag of rice right now and im letting in dry out for a couple days. Can someone tell me if the problem is still coming from water damage and/or if there are any other tips to get it to work??

I'm not professional but I would recommend (if you think your capable) to open the phone up and clean it with 99% alcohol because drying it only helps about 50%. When you dry it it only takes away the moisture but the water leaves minerals that cause the components to rust. But I would take it to a professional asap
