i need screen advice bad.....someone please help me!!!!

i have a galaxy note edge..well the phone screen constantly goes black and a blue light turns on at the top of the phone, plus it constantly turns off and on. it is not reliable to even use but I would love to fix it so I can use it..i have tried 100 different methods off of youtube and not one of them worked. seems like no matter what I do the screen always ends up going black, could it be a bad battery...or is the phone toast? ....can anyone give me some pointers or advice?

I would start by eliminating the software as a problem. First a factory reset, it that doesn't help, then reflash the stock firmware and if that doesn't help, then start looking at the hardware. When the screen dies and the blue light appears, just hold in all the physical buttons at the same time until it reboots. I'm sure you already did that last one though.

I had the same problem for last few months. Multiple factory resets didn't help. Got November security patch yesterday and seems to be stable until now. Hope it is back to normal now.

Welcome to Android Central! Before doing a factory reset (and assuming the latest system update hasn't fixed the problem), I would try booting into Safe Mode first, to see if the problem is being caused by some app you installed: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-29139
