I need to retrieve lost text written on Word from my phone.

I was writing a personal statement and right at completion I went to cut or copy and paste it on the application, but accidentally cut and lost it. I've googled ways such as text conversion to be able to recover but it was written on Word in my phone and so I'm unable to locate those menu options is there anyway to please be able to retrieve the written text? My phone's autosave was turned on.
