I own a 3XL and my P5 came today and...

I'm almost ready to send the P5 back. I can't get used to the smaller device and it's really the keyboard.

Deffo give the Swiftkey keyboard a go, it's excellent and can be resized to half the size of the P5 screen...

It isn't in the app store because it isn't available by BlackBerry. You can get it as an APK (search "keyboard APK" in Crackberry forums) but not legally.
That being said, I came from a BlackBerry before my Pixel and although I miss the BlackBerry VKB, I find Gboard acceptable. BlackBerry VKB does allow you to swipe words up from the keyboard. That is quite nice.

I noted your comment about the smaller phone size and smaller keyboard. Have you tried resizing the keyboard? Or is the narrower width of the screen the limiting factor?

Does it do swipe? I looked in the play store and there seems to be many to pick from. Who is the developer for the one you use?

If you search for BlackBerry Manager it's in there.

It's the narrower width. I'm correcting words often (three so far in the last two sentences).

I just received mine and I'll have to see if the narrowness going to affect my usage. I'm letting it charge and finish downloading my apps. This may be the last thing I type on my 4XL.

The Google keyboard has a settings button and you can expand the keyboard size there. I set mine to Mid-Tall and it's much easier to use.
