I returned my Note 8

To start with, I love the note 8. The problem was that it did not come with coloring installed with the pen. I have talked to every technician available and everyone of them passed me on or said that they could not figure out why. I have learned that it is not a app that you can download. It is pre installed. After taking it in to Verizon, as a last ditch effort, they could not figure anything out so I have had to have it replaced! One thing is for sure, I now know all there is to know about the note 8! By the way I used the switch app to transfer from note 5 and I will not do that this time except for my music and saved files.
These are in your S Pen settings I didn't read all the post so I don't know if anybody answered any of this info and the earlier post but that's where you can find the coloring

Verizon removed the option to backup to Samsung Cloud on their phones. They want you to pay them extra for backing up to Verizon Cloud instead. If Verizon didn't have the best service in my area I would switch to another carrier to get away from their bullcrap.

Before Samsung had it available, I found some on the app store and used those with my Spen and Note 5. They worked fine. I don't find this add on a deal breaker.

I use all Google backups anyway so no need to pay for Verizon Cloud or anything else.

Verizon Cloud is a joke lol :P. I always just used Google and ignore their dumb pushes for stuff like that.

Samsung Cloud is better in the sense that it puts your HS back exactly the way it was before. Same wallpaper, folders, and organized the exact way. I love that

Nova is supposed to do the same thing. Not sure it always works though. I'm on Verizon though and Samsung cloud isn't an option for me.

I've tried using Nova to back up my home screens, but it never gets my widgets. I assume that's normal? I use TW so infrequently that I'm not going to worry about the Samsung cloud.

The latest Nova has a "placeholder" for the widgets. Once you restore the backup file you need only tap on the placeholder and the widget magically appears.

I too recall Verizon blocked Samsung Cloud a while back because of what was mentioned - that they wanted to use their cloud services.

I didn't have coloring (Verizon) and did some digging and if you don't have Penup on your phone you don't get the coloring option. So I installed Penup and now I have coloring.

I also found that LG also blocks a lot of Google Play apps and wanted you to use theirs. That didn't wash too well with me because I had several paid apps I couldn't use.
