I Suddenly Have LTE?

I've had my Vivid with ATT for a few months now.
I know for a fact I was running 4G. I restarted it yesterday because for some reason it was 10 min behind, and I usually never turn it off. It was probably on for at least a week straight at that point.

So when it comes back on I have the little 4G icon in the notification bar, except it says 4G LTE now. Have I always had LTE? And did the icon just change? Or was there some update?

It does seem to be faster though. And strangely the battery seems to be lasting longer.

I heard that the St. Louis area just got LTE. Where are you located?

NW Arkansas just got LTE in the past 2 or 3 weeks... Since it's a tower upgrade, it's really got not nothing to do with your handset. Though the carrier signal is supposed to be handled more efficiently, so you would likely see better battery.

Having said that, I live in a 4G zone about 45 minutes from where I work in a 4G LTE zone, and I've been having major issues with the clock falling behind. Now that you mention a similar problem, I suspect it may have something to do with switching between the towers.
