I've done a backup with all boxes checked. I've pulled up the how to do a factory reset in the PDF. I'm trying to search the forum for some tips but searching for "factory reset" for THIS forum...is it even possible? I'm getting factor reset for, it seems, all of AC.
Does anyone have any tips/tricks that would be helpful?

Here is a list I found in the PDF of what could be backed up and restored

You could also go to settings, scroll down to "About". From there you'll also see option to reset.

Yes, I understand how to reset it, I'm just wondering if anyone that has done it might have some tips.

I've used the reset option in the menu, that worked for me. I'd try that first to see if it solves your issues. If it doesn't you can try the procedure as described by Greymire.
After the reset you'll notice that you have to setup the connection of the watch again. The settings and watch faces will come back with the restore option in the Wearables app on your Phone. That took about half an hour in my case.
You'll also get all the authorization questions anew, about if the sensors can be used by a widget, etc.
