I thought Nexus phones were made by Google?

I initially thought that Nexus phones were made by Google or Motorola, now I see the 6P is made by Huwaewi or however the heck you pronounce that company name. Correct me if I'm wrong but am I missing something here?

Nexus has always been made for Google by an OEM

It's Google's software with no carrier bloatware, but they are made by phone manufacturer's for them.
Samsung, LG, Motorola, Huawei, etc.

Ohh thanks for the clarification. They don't sell any Nexus phones here in Dubai.

Do you think if I bought one from Amazon.com it would work or I wouldn't get 4G / LTE due to the difference in bands? I just called my carrier in Dubai called DU and the customer service agent said they use GSM 1800MHz.
