I tried an iPhone 6 Plus but back to my Nexus 5

Yes, that's almost certainly the case. But that would be like comparing the Nexus 5 to the iPhone 4S. I just think it makes more sense to compare devices that are from roughly the same time period, since tech advances so quickly.
Fair enough

I'll admit that the 6 and 6+ screens look great but I don't quite get why the Nexus 5 doesn't look better. It's a good IPS display and the ppi is higher.

Because the iPhones are also IPS.

I guess I wasn't clear. I know it's IPS. I figure the inventors of IPS (LG) would have at least as good a display in a phone they manufacture but the Apple looks a bit better. I wonder if it's the fonts, shading, and icons in iOS that make it look more impressive?

Since I've been using wireless chargers, I don't even think about the battery anymore. Basically every time I set it down at home or at work, it's also charging.

They have gotten really cheap. I bought 4 wireless charge pads on eBay for $10 each.

That's a steal. What brand and do they work on par with the official Google product?

I've never used an official Google one, so I don't know. I like them though...they are very light and work exactly as advertised. They have a soft-grip plastic on them which I really like (keeps stuff from sliding off). I don't know what the normal charge rate is for wireless charging, but it seems comparable at least to USB levels. I can keep my Nexus 7 screen on and it will still charge despite the drain from the display.

Those are the ones I got. The packaging was haphazard and was obviously opened...but they all work and they all look new. I am probably going to buy a few for my sister as well. I heard the Note series also has wireless charging.

It's not just a matter of display type. There is also calibration and view angles.

The nexus 5 does not have the deepest blacks, even compared to other IPS displays. But it is very bright (awesome outside), and very pixel dense (awesome for reading). iPhone displays have never sucked since the introduction of Retina-level PPI in the iPhone 4. Their main drawback until now was just screen size. They are not the best, but they are always in the top 5.

Thanks man. I'll be picking up a few.

So you can praise Apple where credit is due;P

I have one here cause my dad has it, an awesome phone!

That's awesome. I have a work phone and it's a Samsung Galaxy S5. I was debating if I should go back to Apple. The only reason is because everyone in my family has apple devices.

To each their own. I'm a linux user and open source lover, so Android better fits my needs. (android is linux based)

I just never got into the whole iLife thing.

Pretty much the only reason I would go back too... My whole family uses iPhones. I would miss the endless customizations of android though.

That's fair enough. My Nexus 4 is very customised and I'm running PA+ FK so believe me, I know how awesome the customisations of Android are;)

However I want a close to no compromise device and FOR ME, the iPhone is that. The battery is great, the camera is great, the screen is great, it's fast, it will work great with my mac, I have over 400 dollars spent in the App Store.

My Nexus 4 has a bad battery life and has a bad camera and it doesn't work well with my mac and it's getting old as well otherwise I would have been content with it.
