I tried flashing 5.1 onto my nexus using minimal adb fastboot and it wont flash,

Im not sure what i have done wrong, its not the first time ive done a flash. i did 5.0 a couple of months ago and that worked fine.
Im downloading android sdk now to see if that will work any better. Just not sure how to use it.

Welcome to the forums. The drivers may need to be updated. Also try different cables and USB ports.
