I turn off the alarm but it still dings!

Ok this ones getting annoying lol. I set my alarm on the phone for 5am. Most times I wake up before then though so I turn the alarm off. Every single day it still dings at 5am though! I have to go in and delete the alarm to deactivate it then have to reset it again where I prefer just to tell it to go off every single day. Why oh why?

Delete the apk and install a new one. I use desk clock plus.
