I've been trying to learn by doing and sometimes its frustrating. I had a rooted HTC Evo 4G that got flakey so I took it to an indepentent repair shop with to get it returned to stock (I tried and failed to update it) and got a Evo 4G LTE. After discovering that tethering/hotspot is nonfuntional I rooted it and tried several tethering apps. Though they SEEMED to work on the phone they did not put out a signal. Then, even though I am pretty sure I had tried it after rooting and failed, I tried sprint hotspot again. And it (sort of) worked!! I set it up and connect to it just fine but with no internet connection.
SO...the title. I need someone to help me figure out what I am failing to do right. Or maybe Sprint has figured out how to stop all attempts at tethering.
