Hello all,

Future newbie to the GN, I am a soon to be evil empire RIM BB user for 3 years and its time to move on with technology and RIM has not done a great job.

So I have been following the forum here and I have few questions to ask before I make the jump.

1- How easy/hard is it to move all my email- phone contacts, etc to the GN from the BB?

2- Why did they put only a 5MP camera when most the others have a 8 is this a hardware or software issue that will upgrade it? I take pictures for my job to help @ the end of the day for my write-ups.I know my phone now is a low MP but wanted something better even my kids little camera has 5 MP.

3- Is there a limit to e-mail accounts the phone can handle? I currently have 4 into my BB between business.personal and Scouting.

4- When I did try on at a VZ store the back plate would not stay onto the store security holder, does the back stay on well?

5- I use VZ navigate now, how good is google maps or some sort of other guidance program.

Sorry for all the questions but with all the "bugs" and patches to date and to come from what I am reading I just want to make sure its an easy transition for a newbie to learn the droid system.

Thanks so much for all that will help.
Have a safe Holiday Season.

Dave-

** Here's how: http://forums.androidcentral.com/g...ackberry-users-guide-android.html#post1482545

** No one knows. No upgrade.
3- Is there a limit to e-mail accounts...
** 4 is no problem.
4- Does the back stay on well?
**Yes
5- I use VZ navigate now, how good is google maps or some sort of other guidance program.
** Maps is better.
Sorry for all the questions but with all the "bugs" and patches to date...
** Typical for a new phone.

I hear everyone say that the back falls off easy at the store, i think its cause people take it off and dont make sure they snap it back in correctly

It's because they stick the connector in the middle of a back cover that snaps on around the edges...of COURSE it's gonna fall off when pressure is applied. At no time other than int he store on the display will someone be yanking on the battery door from the center. It's an unrealistic scenario.

Dave-

1. Very easy. The guide is above

2. MP NEVER MATTER stop judging by this. The camera is great and fast. You'll love it.

3. 4 accounts will be fine

4. Never an issue. Put a case on it and you'll never even see the back

5. Google NAV is probably the best nav app I've ever used. Even better then purchased hardware navs. Plus you can just hit the mic and say, “navigate to (your destination address)“ and it opens the app and gives turn by turn directions right away. Its my most used app.

Thanks to all for the answers, the BB to Droid was helpful.
Will make the plunged after New Years, jt's need to pay off the kids toy's before I get a new toy, lol!
Happy Holidays to all.

1. Email is simple - just sign in to all your accounts. Sprint store can help with contacts, or there are other ways of syncing too.

2. MP is just the size of the picture - has nothing to do whatsoever with the quality. And trust me, 5 MP is bigger than you'll ever need on a phone

3. I believe the stock email app supports up to 10, and you can also have up to 10 Gmail accounts I think

4. No issues with the back

5. Google Maps blows VZNav out of the water
