And I have absolutely no luck. I want to save all my photos and videos (of which I have THOUSANDS) to the cloud (either GDrive or Dropbox) so I can clear my phone. However, the only option I can find is to upload individual files via my phone, which is frustrating. When I plug my Huawei phone into my Chromebook it claims my phone is empty. HELP!!!

Why don't you let everything upload to Google Photos App? Once there you can leave the photos there (unlimited storage) and then import your videos to your YouTube account easily?
