I want to use Titanium on my Note 3. What is the best way to Root?

My phone is an SM-N900V, Android 4.3. and I would like to use Titanium back-up on it. I am totally new to rooting, and I am not sure what I should use to root it.

Can anyone point me towards some safe, step by step directions that will allow me to use Titanium?
