It'll be at least 3 months before the first devices get custom ROMs of ICS. Then they usually go by the most popular devices first, which even with 1 million Touchpads sold means it's still lower on the totem pole.

It is going to be weird if my 600mhz optimus gets the rom first that is definitely a popular device.

The touch pad is currently 21 on list of CM installs by device.

The top 3 are:
HTC Desire
Motorola Cliq
Motorola Defy

The HTC Evo is #5, and the Nexus 1 is #8, so I don't think that we will have to wait too long. The more people who stop waiting and Install the Alpha 2.1, the faster we will get ICS.

Do you have a link to that list? I tried googling it but to no avail :'(

I don't think the team places a lot of stock in those numbers (They're dependant on how many people agree to the info shaing check on initial instalation of cm.)

The team has indicated that they would work on the Touchpad rather quickly after AOSP release of ICS as the hardware is fresh in their minds from their current gingerbread project (actively developing ALPHA 3) and because it (the hardware) is more likely to handle the upgrade with more pleasing results than say the nook ( their other great tablet achievement).

As far as ETA's..... my guess is two weeks;)

I see there are 11.408 people running cm7 on their T-Pad now ! according to that CMStats page.

I can believe it, some people may be scared by the Alpha tag, and just don't want to bother since webOS is decent (except lack of Apps).

Anyway, I would install an Alpha of CM9 since that is an awesome OS.

I actually find webos slow and laggy when ever I go back into it now.
The number quoted may just be people who agreed to data collection when they installed it. I clicked on yes because the more people who agree to it the more problems will show up for CM to work on. I also noticed the Motorola Xoom only had 1 download ! which can't be true lol
