Icon frames still showing even though i have it set to icons only?

I noticed that YouTube, google chrome, and gmail icon frames still show even though i have it set to icons only? Is this happening to everybody? I never had this issue on my s8 plus and its really annoying me!

Yes... I've read it's an Oreo issue. Only Google apps retain the frame. It drives me nuts. I'm not if it's a bug or not.

Yeah it's driving me nuts as well. It's throwing off the whole flow of my setup lol

Download an icon pack you like without frames from the theme store

download an app called "Awesome Icons" and try that. It should place them without borders

I'm having the same problem on my S9+. I'm currently using the standard Samsung theme and icons and have turned off icon frames and the frames remain in the Google apps. It's driving me crazy! Hope this gets fixed soon!
