Icon Pack problems

I have been using Nova prime launcher for a couple years now and really like the features. Since I went to the Note 8 I’m having an issue with changing the icon packs. When I select an icon pack through the Samsung Themes app and select an icon pack and apply it the icons do not change, except for the icons in the App Edge, those all change. If I try to change the icons through the Nova setting I can do that and it works but only a couple of the icon packs I have downloaded appear there. I can change the general theme and after a second the icons change but there are usually only a few icons in the theme that change, I assume its because those are the only icons in the theme. If I switch the launcher back to the stock Touch Wiz the icons change as expected. Any thoughts?

i think the icon packs in the okay store will only work on Nova . and the reason why the edge apps icons are what u have from the Samsung icon is because it's still the foot print of touch wiz and not Nova

are you trying to change the apps edge icons or just the icons period ?

All I know is if I switch the icon pack the icons on the edge will be the new style but the rest of them including the app drawer are unchanged. The only way I can seem to change all the icons is if I load a different theme.

OK so if youre using Nova as your launcher the icon packs from samsung will only show up in the edge panel. Find a matching Nova approved (most of them are if not all of them) icon pack in the Play Store and change through Nova settings, look and feel.

If u using a Samsung icon pack it will not show as the icons on Nova that's why the edge is showing the icons .. you must go in to Nova settings and go to look and feel and change the icon pack in there to change the lay out if the icons in Nova but it will not change the icons on the edge

Well I see that downloading icon packs from the store seems to work if I change it through Nova. Kind of stinks that the edge icons don't change to match.

its a system thing that Nova doesnt have access to change. The icons on your lockscreen (camera, phone etc) wont change either. Find a similar theme or icon pack through samsung store to make them match better. I use Pixel Icons Pack from Play store for Nova and a Samsung theme called Pixelize that themes the Samsung Icons. (it also changes the navigation bar to match Pixel launcher style)
