icons appear as a transparent android

My icons for apps that are stored on sd card appear as a transparent android with sd in the corner. This wasn't the case a few days ago. What did I do? And how do I fix it please?

Unmount then remount the sd card. If that doesn't fix it then there are possibly a couple of reasons why: 1. The apps were updated and need to be moved back to the sd card; or 2. The apps somehow were deleted, removed or corrupted on the sd card. Do you recall an update to those apps recently?

I noticed that the apps appeared normal in the app menu section so I removed the transparent apps from my desktop then replaced them and all is normal now. Thanks
