Let's start a thread to document all the changes we notice with ICS. I figure it well people discover everything faster. So far I've noticed:

Better unlock screen
Better Swype
5 logos/icons on the bottom row of the home screen (Apps icon in the center with 2 customizable on either side)
Spell Check - works just like MS Office. Words are underlined red and when you tap on it, the corrected spelling pop up.
Better notification bar (this is well documented already)
Improved logos/icons

That's all I've noticed in 5 minutes of playing with it. What else have you guys seen?

Couple other things:

In the browser you can select "request desktop site" - FINALLY!
In the browser you can enable quick controls. I've been a big fan of this on the XOOM, not sure if I like it on the phone yet. The setting for it it's in three browser under settings, then under labs.

The ability to have folders on homescreen. Just drag progam icons on top of each other and it creates a folder.

In camera mode the ability to use volume button as a shutter button. It is zoom by default.

They always had the ability to create a folder on the home screen before ICS but the way it's in it now is dead simple and easy, just drag the apps onto each other. Prior you had to first create the folder then drag each app into it and you had ugly yellow folders all over your desktop.

Oh and other new things: The ability to swipe away individual notifications, swipe away emails to be read/unread or the ability to program a swipe to do things on each email. For example, I have it set that if I swipe across an email to the left it will toggle it read/unread. If I swipe to the right it will delete the email.

So far ICS has been awesome....

Had a rough hour after the instal, but after a power down it was fine...

Battery life has been awesome.

I took my phone off the charger at 4pm today, went and played golf(3 hour round) and i have only lost 20% battery life. One of the reason is the smart action it recommended today:

Battery Extender:

Triggers: Display off, not charging, no movement(motion detection)
Action: gps off, background sync off, screen timeout 15 sec, brightness 0, cellular data disable.

It doesn't work like gingerbread where it takes awile for cell data to come back on...with ICS its almost instant once i pick up the phone(motion detection)

There is also a screen thermal heat warning that dims the screen if it gets too hot. I had gps/navigation on , Bluetooth, a smart action and i got 5 txt messages. The warning popped up and the screen cooled down about 3 min later and it went back to normal brightness.

The navigation voice has changed (might have been the map update) and is a lot easier to understand and is no longer fuzzy.

The folders are extremely helpful and a great feature.

I like that you can access the notification pulldown without unlocking first and if you use touch to focus on the camera in low light situations the flash comes on to help focus. Two things I loved about the nexus that made it to the razr.

The standard dock screen is customizable with your wallpaper, the standard wallpaper. it also has a built in sleep timer and dimmer. You can also scroll the brightness up and down for the dock.

Widgets are now pre viewable from the apps doc.
Has anyone noticed the Holo live wallpaper? I never noticed it before the update. Was it always there?

Can anyone tell me how to turn on the vibrate when using the keyboard. Had it with GB and its gone since the ICS update. I'm sure I am overlooking something. Thanks

How do you take a screenshot? I tried the down vol/pwr button method but nothing happened.
