Ics confirmed for thunderbolt!

Hey fatboy, question, do you know anything of the Galaxy S II. I am thinking of switching to T-Mobile (I want a GSM carrier) and today only T-Mo is offering the phone for free after rebate which would basically cover the pro rated ETF from VZW. It is dual core I did research, but wondered what are your thoughts.

Thanks.

My thoughts are that you need to post this in the right forum :)

Not necessarily, fat boy is knowledgeable in the root community in regard to making the T-Bolt usable, he might have knowledge fof the Galaxy II, but doesn't own one, so he wouldn't visit that forum.

Thus, the personal message. :p

It looks like a moot point anyway, T-Mo's systems went down, so they are going to (possibly) extend this until tomorrow.

T-Mobile Valentine’s Day sale extended until tomorrow?

I am rushing into this anyway, I am running BAMF and have good battery life on this phone with this ROM.
I posted in Samsung forum, and one person told me to wait as the GS II is getting old itself.
Maybe I will just see what happens as it gets close to contract expiration.

Just give it up, by the time ICS reaches the thunderbolt officially, everyone contract will be up.

Doubt it will ever be released officially by verizon. I noticed the phones HTC said will get ics are dual core

Heard the Desire HD is getting ics....officially.

I meant to say that most ics that ive noticed are dual core. That's good for desire owners. However TB on verizon always takes forever to get updates and when we do it's causes more problems

I am happy with my stock TB on GB. Would ICS offer anything useful?

Probably some performance upgrades, some better battery life, minor tweeks here and there that would improve overall usability. Nothing crazy drastic though.

Pop on YouTube and watch some in depth reviews on the Galaxy nexus. They'll go over them.

Froyo to GB was almost unnoticed.

GB to ICS brings huge changes. I'm on mobile so I don't have the tome to list them

I'd would be absolutely delighted if someone produced a bug free AOSP rom hung around to support it in our "antique" phones. I could care less if it is ics, gb, or froyo! I care much more about the rom itself.
