ICS for the Sprint Evo 3d.

Mine seems to be doing the same "Please Wait" when I open the Messages app. Did it eventually go thru or did you do something to get around it?

My wife said that it does that on the first open after the update, but then it is fine. She has been in and out of it for the past hour.

Update: I tested mine and the wait screen was only there for a second..literally. Of course I use Google Voice mainly.

I haven't checked. I use a pana-app for that now.

Update: No native panorama mode. I tried various settings to see if it would popup, but no change.

Thanks. I integrated with Google Voice but use the stock HTC app for text messages. I restarted and we'll see how it goes now.

Google Talk now works like it should for me. Even the video chat is flawless. The visual effects are funny to do.

did they completely take away the ability to do screenshots, or did the method just change with ICS?

Edit: forget it, seems it just got a bit more sensitive, u kind of have to soft press the power button

mine is still doing the same thing. I even did a reboot and pulled the battery.

I let mine sit at the inbox screen for about 15 minutes with the "Please Wait" before I did anything. Every time the screen would shut off, I'd turn it back on and it would be doing the same thing. When people text me, I can see it, I can pull down the text from notifications. I don't have a pending message count. So it sees that I am reading them. Not sure what else to do.

Here's what I did to (maybe) speed up the process. Go to Settings -> Developer Options and check the box for "Stay Awake." This will prevent the phone from going to sleep and should keep the messages loading or doing whatever ICS is doing that needs to be done for the messages to show up.

Also, once this process completes, it looks like its taking a long time for message threads with lots of messages to open as well.

Patience will be required. unfortunately... :p

Since it's still not loading correctly after letting it sit overnight, I'm going to follow the steps you have recommended above and we'll see if that fixes it.

One thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to hide the bloat ware apps on my phone. Does anyone know how to?

Got the ICS update and it works great. I do notice that the CPG icon in the notification area is almost always on now. Anyone else see this happening?
