You can use settings profile to achieve this, if you're interested. I use it to allow family calls at night to ring and others don't, but you could have a profile that turns up the ringer \ notification volume on an incoming call and mute the rest of the time.

Thanks for that. I don't yet have a GN, so I'll put that in the file to future reference. Hopefully, Google will fix it properly by then.

This ringer/notification coupling issue really belongs in another forum, so I won't prolong it and distract from the Transformer/ICS discussion. Again, I apologize for having referred to it here.
