I've been using SwiftKey foe quite some time. Does anyone use the ICS keyboard or do you guys use a 3rd party app.

I find the ICS stock keyboard to be a little better than Gingerbread so it doesn't bother me to use it. I prefer when doing long emails, etc. to switch over to Swype.

Just my app of choice.

I Swype (changed my keyboard color), but I wish I could make my keyboard less in width and shift if to the left.

I also voice to text.

I dig the stock keyboard.....used to use swype on my droid.....but havent felt the need for it on my gnex.

I used stock for a while, but now I mainly use Swiftkey X. I am a fairly decent phone typer, so my main reason was for the skins.

I used the stock keyboard for about two weeks when I first bought the phone. But I missed some of the features of SwiftKey.

I think the stock keyboard is the best of the Android OS's but isn't quite as good for me as SwiftKey is.

I just redownloaded Swiftkey from a purchase I made long ago. Giving it a try now. Is it just me or does autocorrect not work in these reply boxes?

There's a bug with the keyboard and autocorrect in ICS 4.0.2... its fixed in 4.0.3 which if you can't wait for the update... you can find it in almost every custom ROM.

whats the best 3rd party keyboard that is closest to the ICS keyboard? something with very simlar features. i miss the nexus keyboard a lot, trying to find something that can mimic it, anyone know of a good one?

I actually really like the stock GNex ICS keyboard. I can practically mash the keyboard somewhere close to what I want to type and the autocorrect will get it nearly 100%. Better than my i*hone. I'm not a Swype fan and I don't like the layout of SwiftKey X

I love swiftkey. That was the first app i would download on my new phones but with the new ics keyboard I still have not switched. I do miss the next word prediction but the the feature I miss the most is the swipe left to delete words.

I like Swiftkey A LOT but I wish they would use the native ICS speech dictation. The kind where you can speak and it will fill it in as you speak. I've never liked the way Swiftkey handles voice.

While you're using swiftkey and you want to dictate, sweep up top on the notification bar and choose direct input method. Choose google voice typing and then you can use it. When you're done it goes back to swiftkey.

Good point...I forgot about that.
