ICS keyboard

Does anyone know of a keyboard that has the two letters on each key. Not sure what it's called. Used it on my storm and can't find one like it.

You can actually get the Storms skin for a keyboard. Compatible keyboards are in the description. I use it on my tablet with Smartkeyboard Pro.

I actually really like the stock GNex ICS keyboard. I can practically mash the keyboard somewhere close to what I want to type and the autocorrect will get it nearly 100%.

Yep. I love the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard. I haven't felt the need to switch back to either Swype or SwiftKey X at all, and both of those were my standards when I had a Droid X.

i was using swiftkey out of habit. always the first app i install on my new phones

i'm trying ICS and its pretty nice

i used swiftkey x extensively and i have to say it drove me nuts. it seems like i'm in the minority on this here. i found myself constantly playing with settings because it could never 'learn' my patterns. suggestions were way off for me routinely, and it often had suggestions even for correctly spelled words. i liked it best when i just turned everything off, defeating its purpose. i've been very happy with ics keyboard. predictive text has been very good, its easier for me to keep typing quickly if i just want to leave a mis-spelled word, response and spacing are nice. i'm very happy with it. i guess my msgs are shorter, i havent noticed any lag or performance issues.

I am digging A.I. Type Keyboard Plus. A.I. does auto correct like many other keyboards, and it also adds auto next word prediction as well based on what it thinks will be your NEXT word from the context of your previous words. It doesn't work all the time, but more oft than not it will throw up the next word you would type. Tap the word and it will present you with the next word and so on and so on.

There have been times when I have typed whole sentences and only tapped the keyboard (for example) 8 times to type a 8 word sentence. Its freaky good most of the time.

I used swiftkey x exclusively on my x, bolt, and charge but I've been using the stock keyboard exclusively since I got my nexus. Very happy with it so far.

Swiftkey on my DInc, tried stock when I got the Nex, went right back to Swiftkey. Hands down the best keyboard out there.

I've gone back and forth with stock and swiftkey x. I really like how swiftkey has the symbols on the keyboard to long press without having to choose the symbols menu.

I'm a bit of a keyboard junkie. I like the ICS keyboard well enough, but I like Swiftkey X better (largely for aesthetic reasons). Then I downloaded the Swype beta and I've been using that mostly, though I go back to Swiftkey if I'm doing something longer since I start messing up where I swipe the longer I do it. Today I downloaded Graffiti and 8pen to try out some nontraditional keyboarding - wasn't really a huge fan of Graffiti, but 8pen is very amusing and I can see how it'd get to be quite efficient when I know it better.

That was one of the reasons I switched back to SwiftKey. The other reason was I like the way the number keys are shown when you switch to them.

I used SwiftKey exclusively on my fascinate and my thunderbolt, but since getting my nexus I have been on Thumb Keyboard 4. I miss the sentence prediction, but the skin I have on here fits ICS more than SwiftKey did. Also, having a split layout in landscape is great.

OK, I'm trying out a different keyboard SlideIT, because I love Swype but find the keyboard too big.

The only time it makes sense to have a huge keyboard is to fit your fingers while being accurate. If you're mashing the keyboard (the term is disambiguation) it suggests words so there's no reason to be accurate.

I think many don't realize that you can type quicker if you care less about which buttons you press when the keyboard has disambiguation.
On other words, it's one or the most important things I look for in a soft keyboard

I also want a smaller keyboard so that I go back to typing with one thumb. So far it's a lot better but I also can't shift the screen left (even though on the website it shows a shifted screen in landscape mode, which I haven't figured out how to do).

So far, I miss Swype's ability to use ctrl functions and the ability to toggle capitalization by swiping. I also miss being able to choose a word and swipe over it to replace it (but I guess I could use the native long press).

I like the graffiti but its for numerals only, I want to try it for number input like entering a serial number or phone number.

I also like that if you backspace once after the word you typed last it erases the whole word.
