ICS: Notifications & Ringer volume the same?

Tonight I was reminded of one of my biggest gripes from when I had my GN. Ringer and notification volume are the same thing now??

I can't remember, but was there ever a fix for this?

I don't need my phone making noise all night as I receive notifications of new emails or texts, but I do need to hear the phone if someone calls.

You would have thought that in the past 9 or so months that HTC would have figured out a work around for this. Oh I freaking hate this.

I use audio manager pro works like a charm. I go into the program every night hit sleep and done only phone will ring.

ICS Enhanced Ringer Control is what I use. It's in the market.

Another app some of you might like is Selective Silence. It lets you chose what numbers can ring through on silent.

I've used that app for years. However it wasn't working last night. I'll check out the others

Hmm... That's odd, mine seems to be working fine. When I saw your post I went to check stock and agree that there don't seem to be any settings for different volumes. Next checked my Quick Settings and found it was still able to split them. There have been a lot of updates to Quick Settings recently, do you have the latest version? Also, there is another app with the same name by a different company. I don't know anything about it - they are both free. You might try to uninstall and then reinstall. Good luck with finding something - looks like a lot of suggestions.

Oh you can still slide the bars on Quick Settings, but that doesn't mean they will do a thing. Im up today on all my shots and apps as well.

I went with ICS Enhanced Ringer Control and it worked like a champ for me.

Audio control is excellent if you want profiles, schedules and widgets. You can to unlink the volumes in settings.
