ICS Search Widget on Gingerbread????

Is anyone aware of a way to port the new Google search widget to Gingerbread devices (2.3.3). I know that entire packages can be applied to create the ICS look on Gingerbread devices but I am wondering if anyone knows how to just get the search widget onto Gingerbread phones.
