ICS Update STOPPED Sprint Rep said

I understand everyone's frustrations with the update being pulled and the results that some of you are getting at Sprint locations but please...

Lets keep the language in check, and that includes circumventing the language filters with special characters...

Thanks.

Ok don't kill the messenger, but I just got off the phone with Sprint after factory resetting my phone due to the wifi shutting down and stopping the data as well unless I turned it off and on again. (Didn't help!)
She told me they are well aware of all the problems and I was her second call regarding the wifi issue. This evening. After a brief hold, she told me, and I quote:" Samsung already has a fix and is sending it out in to 500 people at a time." "And that it fixes all of the problems that have occurred from the ICS update.

She said it may be available as a manual install just as the ICS update was and to check Samsung's web site. She said sit tight and see if It gets pushed out or made available.

She apologized and said if I don't get it within a week to call back. So there.
Going on Sammys site now to see whats up!

guess im one of the few that has little to no issues with ICS...the only one ive had was the wifi turning off and on but that's rarely happening anymore... hopefully Sprint/Samsung are reading these forums and taking notes.....

This is why I bought my phone and have it serviced by best buy. Waayyy better service I've found. I would only buy phones from them now.

Just checked my Samsung acct for my SG2 for anything about "updated software." NOTHING...only ICS 4.0.4 is listed. Not sure that this ' ICS problem software update' is SPRINT's to fix? Either way, some type of official announcement/notification from either entity would surely help folks rather than a lot of unofficial statements by 'reps' etc.
So...Samsung and/or Sprint, can we have some sort of announcement regarding any updates/fixes to this ICS 4.0.4 release?

I just recently got my S2 and was excited to upgrade it to ICS, only to find that it said I was up to date (on 2.3.6), and so did Kies. So I decided to contact Sprint and ask them about this. I chatted with a CSR and Tech Support and after some searching was told that the update for the S2 is still rolling out, and that all S2's should receive it by August 12.

In regards to all the issues I have been hearing people have about the ICS update, I was also told that a factory reset of the phone in conjunction with the update would have it run without any problems, and upon further reading and searching on the internet I have found that to be very true.

I hope this clears some things up. :)
