If you're trying over the air, in this case you are, it won't be OTA.

The upgrade is through Kies only on the computer

Century Link DSL is horrible!!!! I've been downloading the update for about half an hour now, still only at 10% - I swear, if there were another provider out here in the boonies........

It took a little over 2 hours for Kies to download it. Once it was downloaded, the rest of the process went smooth. I'm really liking ICS!!

Kies has a place to backup your stuff, that's what I did since I'm not rooted.

Help! How long did it take to actually down load this firmware? The little android icon is on my screen says down loading but just sitting there.

I don't think the counter matters. What the update looks for us the version of the firmware present on the phone and compares it to the new Rom. If the one on the phone already is older it should upgrade.

Just remember that if this happens, you should lose the root. I am not sure if there is a root that stays after flashing. Could be, but I am not sure.

I must be missing something here, I went to Samsung Kies and it will not read my NOTE so I called Samsung for support and was told that at and t has nor released the ICS update for the NOTE yet and this is why kies mini will not read my device but my device is registered. So can someone help me with this, what am I missing or doing wrong? Thanks!
