what are the biggies? i've read some of the reports, but from what i had gathered it was a pretty fast, stable build with no showstoppers/major bugs
One of the issues I am experiencing, and is pretty annoying is the browser (stock and dolphin). The browser just stops responding after a few minutes of use although the data stays on. I can go back on the browser, but when I touch a hyperlink or type in a new web address, it doesn't respond. I tried killing the app and restarting it thru the 'holding down the home key' option but it still doesnt respond when I start it up...I usually have to toggle the data connection. With that being said, not sure if its the network or OS, either way, this was never an issue prior.
Another BIG issue I have experienced 4 times was after restarting my phone, I would get a 'wallpaper not responding' error. You can press OK but it keeps popping up, preventing you from using the phone...you can press ok and have about a second to go to settings and try to mess with the wallpaper, but it doesnt make a difference, you have to reset the phone thru the 'power button + volume down' option and do a factory reset.
The plus side, as mentioned earlier, is you can disable many apps which has made a huge difference on performance and battery life...but for some reason Google Books does not stay disabled. You can disable it, then when you restart the phone, it right back there. One thing I learned about disabling apps and this is a huge one...make sure you disable the apps before you update them, otherwise, you have to first uninstall the updates, THEN disable. When you first activate the phone, go to APPS in settings and disable the apps you dont want before going to the Play Store/Market and updating them.
Dont know if this is good or bad, but each time you restart the phone, prior to getting to your home screen, the software scans applications and optimizes them, just slows down the boot based on how many apps you have installed.
The only other issue I am experiencing is defaults do not save...I use Dolphin Browser and Go Launcher instead of the stock browser and HTC's launcher but each time I restart, I have to activate them again.
Was it worth it? Nope, lol.
