Did the battery life improve with ICS update on stock i777 att.

My battery life seems to be worse. I'm having to charge much more often.

Thanks. Hate to hear that, my battery life is not good now. Haven't updated go ICS, was hoping for improvement not worse. :-)
Everything else ok. Anything better?

No. Any Bluetooth devices paired will be removed. So you'll have to set those back up.

ICS definitely improved battery life for me with the limited time I had the stock ICS update on my i777. I always do a complete backup with Titanium Back Up Pro, and wipe + upgrade. Granted you have to be rooted for Titanium, but it definitely helps. I went back to CM9, now on stable release, and couldn't be happier. Couldn't deal with all the bloatware.

Edit: And no, you don't have to remove your SD card for the update.

Seems to be mixed reviews with ICS so I have a question...
If I perform the upgrade via KIES and experience battery or other issues I have seen reported is it possible to downgrade back to 2.3.6 ?

Just got the Galaxy SII and while working fine would like to have the latest firmware, but have concerns after reading some of the threads about ICS.

If you find out you can please let me know as I am NOT happy with ics

Nope. Once you flash an upgrade, it's yours to keep.

Of course, there's always some XDA-level Phone Fu out there, but it's much more than just doing a factory reset.
