If I force stop an application, will I lose items I've saved within that app?

I write, draw and create (a comic strip, primarily) and have much of the base material saved as clip on/sticker art within the structure of a creative app. Would/could a force stop delete these items? If so, is there a way to extract and save these to another place? If the answer is painfully simple, forgive my ignorance. I'm still quite new to much of the technology. Thanks, in advance.

That might be a question best asked to the app developer as only they know how the app is structured to work.
