if I leave the Note5 on the wireless charging pad after it's full, will battery start to drain?

on my old Samsung S5, if I leave it on the Samsung wireless charging pad after it has reached 100%, the battery will start to drain normally... for example, I put it on the pad around 9pm and it reaches 100% around midnight.... after that, it will start to drain(like when the phone is in standby normally) by the time I pick it up in the morning, it will go down to about 90% to 93%.

does this happen with the Note5 on the new Samsung wireless fast charging pad?

thanks!

I have seen this happen with my N5. The whole wireless charging thing with the N5 is just one big cluster**** with the wireless samsung charger.

I got a new wireless charger from Samsung last week after sending my old one back. The new one will get your phone to 100 then the blue light turns green and the phone stays at 100 until you take it off. 1st charger would get to 100 and drain.

I use the fast wireless charger and every morning it's on 100.

I'm also on my second Samsung charging pad, first one charged for 5-10 minutes then the blue light blinked and that was it. New one got it to 100% and stayed there. Hopefully it will continue to work

You mean the first Samsung wireless fast charging pad was defective and you exchanged it for another identical one?

Sorry, I should have clarified, it is not the fast charging one, just the regular Samsung wireless charging pad, and yes, the first one was defective, I returned it and the replacement has been better this far

thanks! so your 1st and 2nd chargers are both non-fast charging. Is this correct?

I charged mine last night... Put my phone on the charger around 8:30pm and didn't take it off until the next morning...

When I woke up, it was at 90%... When I looked at the battery chart to see what happened, it got "full" at 10pm and was depleting batteries for 8 hours until I woke up the next morning... 10% gave me 8 hours of standby time... Not bad... I topped it off this morning before I left, so it's not difficult to leave the house with 100%...

But yes...it is my experience that the wireless charger charges to 100%, and then stops...and you are on battery power after that...

is that the "fast charging" Samsung wireless charging pad?

the reason I'm asking is that Samsung tells me that the "fast charging" wireless charging pad will continue to maintain the Note5 at 100%, even after charging is complete.... but I'm getting different answers from people who actually own this "fast charging" pad... :(

Not the fast charger... Just the regular charger...
