If I stay away from video will 5 gigs plan work

If I dont watch much video and do mostly web surfing and email etc, will 5 gigs be plenty without going over?

It should be plenty. I'm constantly on the web on my Evo, & watch quite a few videos & I've never come close to 5gb.

i have a 1 gb plan and i haven't even come close to going over. i try to use my wifi as much as possible though.

I too use my Evo almost constantly, but considering that I get on wifi whenever I'm able to, I have a very hard time reaching even 1gb.

I started with a 3gb data plan for $35 with my Verizon Tab; I've been using it hard since I bought it two weeks ago. However, to this day I've managed to use all of 90mb (MB!) of 3g data, so I just called Verizon to downgrade to the 1gb plan for $20. I just couldn't justify throwing $15 away every month for 2 additional gb of data I was never going to use.

1 gig here also, I think the most I used was 5 megs... I try to use wifi mainly because its faster.. and someone is using the tab almost all day long

Should be good with 5 gigs. Keep an eye on it and adjust your plan if needed. Wifi also helps.
