if the 2GB RAM rumor is true ...

At this point, we can't say it's a bad Nexus. It might seem like we know this phone inside and out, but the new rumors/leaks are conflicting with old ones. I think we should just sit back and wait for its launch before we start judging.

I'm not saying bad. I'm saying not up to par with what I want in specs to sacrifice and buy a new phone. It's just a upgraded 5 anyway. This year all Google did was make a little better 5 and 6. So I don't see a justified reason to leave my current Nexus 5 for these. I will wait for the following year for a much better Nexus with hopefully specs I want. If not, I will purchase something else that does it for me. I just don't want to leave the pure Google nexus line.

It's all about how much you want the newest thing versus what phone you currently have. My wife and I are both rocking the original Moto X with its S4 Pro processor. That is a generation behind the 800 Snapdragons so jumping to an 808 or 810 is going to be a huge jump in processor for us.

As for the current topic, I would be shocked if the phone came with 2 GB. I'm going to trust Android Police (Source: New "Nexus 5" By LG Will Feature Snapdragon 808, 5.2" 1080p Display, 3GB RAM, 2700mAh Battery, USB-C, And More) that there will be 3 GB.

1. It's not even announced yet and everything is just speculation.

2. The technology has hit a plateau. There is only so much that can be done to a slab of glass and a back plate. There's not many new phones that blow us away in terms of being better than the previous generation.

You said it's not up to par with what you want in specs. What would you prefer the new Nexus to have that it is rumored to not have? I'm honestly curious. It's pretty well spec'd if the rumors are true.

I'll be fine if it manages apps well, which it will, because it's a Nexus.

But 2GB in a high-end phone in 2015 just screams "obsolete", doesn't it?

Or it could scream cost savings in a phone that runs well on it and doesn't need 3gb just to compete in the spec wars. With that being said, if they can't optimize it to be buttery smooth with 2gb then I'm all for 3gb.

2700mAh and 2GB RAM is 2013. I wouldn't want it. If I got it free, I'd put it on Swappa unopened.

5000mAh removable, 4GB (minimum, and preferably expandable, ala Ara), external SD, or I might as well keep my Note 3. (And I wouldn't buy it until Otterbox comes out with a case for it.)

lol, will keep on the lookout for that device.

More ram than 2gb (if true) I would want 4-6 of ram. As for battery, I want 3000 mAh or above for my next phone. Simple as that. Processor needs to be anything better than the 810. I can't wait for the 820.
