If the Bluetooth keeps disconnecting, is it the device or could it be the phone

So I had bought a headset and was working fine till it disconnected, then more frequently. I contacted the seller and they'll send a replacement as I asked for one, but told them if it is the same problem I'll ask for refund. So am I right to ask for the replacement or should I asked for refund?

Turn off wifi when connecting to Bluetooth. Worked for me
