I'll wait until official prices are announced.
I agree. I just wanted to take a quick poll to see if interest would still be there if GN phones were EXPENSIVE (or comparatively more than their iOS counterparts).

I too hope that the $299 price includes 32GB of storage.

if it's 399 for the 32 they can eff off

299 is already bad enough..if it's 299 for the 16 i suppose id get it because I have barely gotten past half of my OG droids SD storage (16 GB)

but 200 bucks per year for a phone? nearly 20 per month on top of their bill? crazy

I'd be very pumped to see the 16GB version at $199.99 on contract. Even if the 16 is $299.99 on contract, though, I'm thinking I'll still go for it. And unfortunately, I imagine the latter is more likely, but I get some discounts since I'm upgrade-eligible, so it won't be quite as bad on me. No matter what, though, 16 is all I would ever need.

Rock and a hard place. I want a phone with all the latest hardware, SD slot, best screen, battery that never dies, etc etc. But I don't want to pay for it.

I'd imagine since this is a top tier LTE device and the fact that leaked MAP pricing shows it, the minimum will be $299 on contract.

IF there are two versions coming to Verizon, the 16GB would obviously be cheaper than the 32GB. So, that puts the 16GB at the $299 starting point.

So what would the 32GB cost? $399 on contract for a phone seems outrageous to me. The increased storage space doesn't quite equate to that much of a jump in the production cost (there is a $100 difference between the 16GB and 32GB Gtab 10.1 models though. It's not because an extra 16GB costs them $100 more. Samsung just wants more profit).

My wild guess is this:

16GB - $299.99

32GB - $349.99

If there is a 32GB option, and it does cost $399, Verizon is crazy. Sadly, I can see it happening, and I'd probably pay it just to have the best version of the best phone. That, and I need lots of space if I'm gonna take advantage of that beautiful HD screen with lots of HD movies.

Just wait till Amazon/Wirefly offers it @ half the price or free if your patient.

Epic fail. I got a message that this post failed because I tried to make it a poll. Well, here was the poll attempt:

1. $299 for 16GB GN
2. $399 for 32GB GN
3. Neither - I'd get another phone.

I'll add it for you, but I think you're about $100 to high on both.

There might be a chance the price will be sub 300 for both. Remember the tech isn't out of this world for the phone. The specs maybe reflecting Samsung trying to keep the price low. If this phone had everything everyone wanted then I wouldn't be surprised if it was 399 even 499....

If those are the prices, I would either get the cheaper model, or get a different phone. I really want the Nexus, but I'm not shelling out top dollar for extra storage.

Now looking at everything I could and comparing phones that are in the same realm of things hard ware wise I would tend to believe that the 16gb would be 199 and 32 299 I say this because the price for the razr is set at 299 and comes with 32 (16 on board 16 SD) and all of the gs2 (tmo the exception) phones with 16gb are 199 (I know its other carriers but you have to think Verizon would keep the price close to compete). Also I would think they would keep the price like that so it can compete with the iPhone since they are $199 and $299

I say all this still in the dark as everyone else but according to that leaked Verizon screen AC has posted there will be one for $299 as to weather it is the 32 or the 16 I have no clue...

If it was that price I'd get another phone, or find a previous model of a phone on eBay and rock it for a while.
I will not pay 500 for a phone and be locked into a 2 year contract as well.
I'm hoping, as the previous poster said, 199 for 16GB and 299 for 32GB.

There will probably be only one model priced at $299. Whether its 16GB or 32GB is unknown. Verizon's 4G devices seem to offer 32GB+ combined storage so it might be 32GB. We'll see.

So why do you guys think they do this (built in card)? Is it a cost savings thing, or does it really make the device that much smaller? The GSII is razor thin, so if that's the reason, then it's not a very attractive one. For me, I'm not a very media centric person, but I still manage to use about 70% of my 32GB card. It's a shame I can't take that 64GB and make it 96GB. I think I will actually be watching a few movies on this one if I travel.

Yes, that was the point. As we know that there's a $299 price point, but not the storage (16 or 32GB), I wanted to explore interest if the 32GB version were $100 more than anticipated. It seems that no one wants this - and I hope that Verizon reads this thread - but it may come to pass...

Nowhere has mentioned a 64GB version - as your poll indicates - but I'd be all over that. Local storage is always better than cloud.

With the advent of the various (free) cloud services, to me, it seems silly to need all that space on your device.

Personally, the smallest version will suffice.
