Please check /cache and copy all files from it before rebooting to install.

That way, we can get a copy.

For more advanced users, please run a logcat during download process, so that we can try and get a URL to download it manually.

Thanks!

Could you give some simple instruction son the /cache thing? Does one need to have program like Astro to assist in this? Would love to help but as one of many who has never rooted / loaded a single rom would desire more information to help :)

Not sure if Astro can see it. But, you can use adb shell:

cd /cache
ls

Check the different file explorers on the market. Root Explorer def. works.

I'll mos def send a logcat. How do you suggest we prevent the install?

Edit: For those of us who are rooted and running the updated radios/rom already...

Worse case, battery pull. If you are on bamf 1.5+, it wont even prompt you.

Ah! So if we're on 1.6...which has the new ROM...we will not get prompted by VZW to download the OTA update? Even if we manually check? I used to have a Droid, and all we did was delete or rename otacerts.zip, and VZW wouldn't prompt us for the OTA.

even if you manually check, you will not be prompted. This may change in the future.

The problem with killing otacerts is that it doesn't stop the phone from checking, continually, over and over, and killing your battery.

Ok you said general but I have options for following want to make sure I catch what you are looking for in the url

Level: Verbose, Debug, Information, Warning, Error , Fatal

Format: Brief, Process, Tag, Thread, Thread time, Time, Long, Raw

Last but not least do I want to "Log Output" in HTML to share log files in that format?
