....you might want to check up on what LTE bands are supported by it.

According to FrequencyCheck, the SM-G935F variant of the Galaxy S7 Edge, which is powered by the Exynos 8890 processor instead of the Snapdragon 820 found in carrier models, supports LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 26.

AT&T uses Band 2, 4 and most prominently 17. T-Mobile uses Band 2, 4 and 12.

I'm not fully-sure if the phone actually works on those bands, but going to B&H found me a user who's using a G935F on AT&T and found no ill-effects. Strangely, however, B&H said that the phone only supports Band 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20 and 28.

However, there is a big drawback to this. Importing an international model won't give you Samsung Pay. It's exclusive to non-tampered US carrier-branded devices. The MST tech is there. It's just locked out.

If mobile payments are big to you, get the US carrier version. You won't be using Samsung Pay on the international model. If that's not big to you and you want an unlocked phone without carrier bloat and faster updates, then maybe the G935F variant might work. However, do consider the possibility that LTE data might not work as well as on a carrier device, as info between B&H and FreqCheck is a little conflicting.

B&H sells the phone for $750, BTW.

Samsung Pay is, currently, only available in the U.S. and Korea. However, it is being rolled out to the U.K. on the Global Galaxy S7/Edge and other Galaxy models, later this year.

The Global models are also compatible with some other U.S. networks but not those using CDMA, (Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, etc: )

Correct. The international version is a GSM-only device.

It won't work on CDMA networks like Sprint and Verizon.

Does this apply to the G930FD models as well? I assume the D just means it's dual sim and that's it, but just making sure.

There is a thread on xda developers with someone trying to flash another firmware so that band 12 works on T-mobile. Currently band 12 does not work on t-mobile with the stock international version.

I was considering getting the international version to use on TMo, but this issue has made me think twice (along with the lack of Wifi-Calling). Sure wish those issues didn't exist because I would much prefer the Exynos over the Snapdragon!

I've been wanting to get one as well but I don't think I will. I really want to have a rooted S7 Edge but I'm OK having a stock phone.

Since we have had band 12 available here in my area in Colorado over the past year, I have noticed only one time when a phone of mine used band 12. I was at home and the speeds were incredibly slow. I had actually called T-Mobile to complain about a data outrage that day before I realized the phone was using band 12. That band is mostly there for connections in buildings and I have always had excellent coverage at my house so I'm not sure why the phone was using band 12 and I'v never noticed it connecting since then and that was about a year ago.

Interesting development. Looks like this phone works best on AT&T, then.

Be aware too that unlocked European phones need to have 5 minutes worth of calls made on a European network before they are fully unlocked. Until then they will only take a Euro SIM card.

Your 'unlocked' Euro Galaxy S7 is still region-locked — but that's not a huge deal | Android Central

Using a SM-G935F on Cricket with no problems. Also have Samsung Pay working but looking around it has been hit and miss for Samsung Pay. My SM-G935F was originally CSC EGY but have flashed it to BTU.

So flashing to btu allowed you to install Samsung pay from the galaxy store? I currently can't install it with whatever build my unlocked phone came with.

No I had to side load the framework and app.
