I am having trouble with the new IFTTT app, specifically with the Android Location Channel.

I installed the app, the Android Channels are all activated. But the location never trigger and when I check under "location" settings in my Nexus 5, it does not show IFTTT as an app that is requesting permission.

Anyone have any success or encountering the same issue?

Thanks!

I tried setting up a location trigger to lower my ringer volume when I get to work with no success. Using a Moto X.

I ended up just changing the trigger to "connect to a specific wifi network" instead.

Good to know I am not the only one. It's pretty frustrating they released the app and it doesn't even work...

Would love to find out if that's the case or is this a Nexus 5 specific issue

I think the problem may be related to the fact that recipes are only checked every 15 mins. Therefore you might already be at your destination for 15 mins before the recipe gets triggered.
I haven't played with this recipe yet but you guys might want to give it a look.

Mine literally didn't trigger over my entire 8 hour shift.

I got an update this morning as well and the location triggered for the first time on my way to work this morning.

Let's see how it goes! Hope it's working now

They just pushed an update that fixes the location for me.

I installed the update and none of my location triggers work still. In fact most anything you can do with IFTTT that even remotely useful works rarely at best. I think this whole thing is sort of pointless. If you are looking to trigger actions based on events of any kind, reliability is not really optional. I would rather that nothing automatically happens ever unless I can trust that it actually will, otherwise any action may as well be chalked up as a coincidence.

I'm really concerned about the quality of peoples work these days. It's like people don't mind being associated with ignorance and dishonesty. How sad. God Bless America.

Samsung 7. Worked great for months and then a month ago, errors all the time. late location notifications on gate entry (like hours). Or reinstate of trigger as I was inside gate. So I have an alarm system arms itself when I get close to the house. Fence is around 1 mile diameter.

It's just broken.

No new software, no changes to GPS settings. Just IFTTT reaking havoc arming my security arbitrarily at all hours as if I was driving home.
