Welcome back. I still have my Note 8 even though I've gone to the Pixel 2 XL for the camera and pure Android Experience.

I tried a Note 8 back in November. Got one in the mail today. Will see if I give it another shot.
I also just got done setting up my Panda Pixel 2XL.

Let me know how that goes. I have both device and picking one over the other is no easy task

I'm a Pixel fan through and through. I do like what Samsung has done with the Note 8 though.

I have had nexus 6, 6p, 5x, and both pixel xl and 2xl. I'm no stranger to Google phones. Note 8 the best samsung phone I have ever used. Spen pulls me back every time. Put an spen on pixel 2xl and it's game over for Note 8

The Note8 is perfect for me right now, nothing else will do until it's successor arrives. Don't know how some of you left it for something like an iPhone, I would have gone mental.

The Note 8 represents all the complexity and brute force one could want. The iPhones represent simplicity, yet power. At least, that's how I see it. Battery life on my iPhone Xes are a bit better than on my Note 8s. Neither have the longevity of my Mate 9.

The Xes are refreshing sometimes after all the power and dohickys of the Note 8s.

Yeah at this point the only thing I would consider replacing my note 8 with is a note 9, as it will be at minimum, a moderate upgrade. Although, I have to admit the Huawei mate 10 pro does look like a viable option, but no s-pen.

I did think about the IPX, but I wanted fingerprint security as I find it makes life easier when it comes to payments and the design of the X put me off slightly. Plus I like a physically larger phone, I've shovel like hands etc

The XL2 does appeal to me, but having looked at them a few times, their design is the main off-put for me, I prefer the real estate of the Note 8s screen and as I'm just a general day to day use with a few pics here and there, the camera of the XL2 just isn't needed really... For me, the Note 8 takes superb pictures already!

Not interested in the 9+ either, it's not enough of an upgrade over the Note 8, more so that I've just bought another one, so will leave it be and may look into the next Google phone or see what replaces the Note 8

If my N6P dies (battery isn't doing it's best currently); then I may buy an XL2 anyways to have best of both worlds

But I sold my Note 8 and dropped back to using my Nexus 6P and bought a Pixel XL too (swapped them about a bit, one for personal, one for business etc)

Dropped the XL and damaged it beyond repair, but preferred the N6P anyways. IMO, it's just a better phone!

Then bought an iPhone 8 Plus; IMO, brilliant phone, but got so bored of it so quickly... I love Apple, their phones bore me though...

So, bought another Note 8

It's about the best mobile I've ever had TBH

Stunning screen, lightning fast and the perfect size really... Makes the IP8+ screen look dated

Just waiting for Android O to update to the Note 8 here in the UK and it'll be perfect then

I literally have a pixel 2 xl Note 8 and iPhone X in my possession right now. I have no freaking idea which two to keep.

Not to hijack this thread but does anyone see the Note 8 getting discounted (ATT)? I really want to try the S-Pen but not sure if it will be the game changer I hope it will be. I have thought about going used but you never know what you might get so would rather buy new. Any advice???

I would imagine it would discount to some degree? But when the Note 9 is out, it'll definitely discount.

It's discounted right now on T-Mobile on the Samsung website. Down to $750 and then if you trade in an old phone, they take it down to $550.

Sweet maybe I can negotiate with ATT when I'm back on dry land which will be after the 9+ is released. I have to use ATT for coverage area and wifi calling.

OP Congrats I love threads like these as it continues to validate my thinking that switching from iPhone back to android is the way for me. I say back because I did make the jump with the S3 but touchwiz was awful in those days, seems Sammy has learned much since then.
