I've read some threads and I'm still not sure what my options are here. I despise carrier phones. My Nexus 5 spoiled me. Got the ole' lady on board too since she got a 6p. My kid wants an S7. I would rather not get the AT&T version (my carrier) unless I absolutely have to. I own an AT&T G4 and am so frustrated with it. Their MM update is horrible and I know updates are few and far between. VoLTE and the other AT&T stuff is not a huge issue. Is there a version I can use reliably on AT&T without their bloat? I noticed the international versions use a different processor and don't seem to have a warranty. I also read about missing LTE bands? Is it not worth it to get international?

You can use package disabler to disable all Google /samsung/att additions.

Until an update comes out which will probably be six months behind the international version.

So, will this app be dangerous in my semi-tech-capable hands? Reading the app faq's it sounds like I'd have to remember to re-enable all disabled apps before system updates, etc., or things might break?
If this app can be used to just get rid of bloatware, without risking 'breaking' anything, I'd be on it. Is this possible?

Yes there is a risk but if your concern is only att bloat then disabling them would be fine. Worse case you would have to do a factory data reset, but that is only for disabling critical apps

Honestly, i have the international unlocked version on AT&T and i am getting over 40mpbs of data speed just fine. The only issue i have is that AT&T can not recognize the IMEI. And yes the hardware is slightly different but i dont see much difference in them. I inserted my sim card from my iphone 6s and it works just as fine.
