I think it was price, not size. The 5 was a great phone. And especially at the price. If the 6 was about $150-200 less, it would have sold a ton.

I think that more people agree with you, but it was the opposite for me at first. The price didn't bother me at first, but the size did when I went to hold it in the store. The only reason that I changed my mind to buy the Nexus 6 was the announcement that the Nexus 6 would be the only phone for Google's Project Fi.

Now of course, I would have appreciated a lower price!

Yeah, I actually was ok with the price. I think it's in line with other phones that offer this kind of package. But I can see how many others think differently. The Nexus previously seemed like a solid, if not exceptional, phone at a good price. The 6 blew that out of the water. The size bothered me, and was the reason I got rid of it in the first place. But I have since gone back and am learning to love it again. It is so much smoother than the S6 and I think stock Android just looks better than any other skin out there.

The Nexus 6 is priced as it should have been. The Nexus 5 was bargain priced because it was a lesser device. LG took a G2, put in a cheaper display, camera along with since other price cutting moves (no removable battery, etc).

I'm hoping they make another Nexus phablet sometime. If not then I hope moto makes one along with the moto x series going forward. I refuse to go to anything smaller.

I have heard some rumors about lg making like a 5" nexus and Huawei making a phablet nexus. Not sure how accurate that is and don't really think that would happen.

It's not an update to either, as it will stand on its own merits. It will simply be a 5.7" Nexus phone no matter what they call it. You could think of it as a smaller Nexus 6, or a bigger Nexus 5. Doesn't matter really even if they call it Nexus 5 2015.

I hope they offer a 5.7" option. I really like the 6" screen and couldn't go any smaller than 5.7"

I would like a 5.5 or 5.7. I can handle the 6 but it's still just a wee bit too big for me. The phone is otherwise so nice that I'm ok with it, but I'd prefer just a little bit smaller.
