Okay, Im back. You're neighborhood pest! Ive FINALLY been able to change my radio to ZVH and I followed some posts on how to root it, but I dont think Ive done it right. I dont have a superuser yet and Im simply confused. When I have to do stuff in DOS I get braindead.
I cleared EVERYTHING off and formatted my SD card and that's how I was so easily able to get ZVH, but now how do I boot and get a backup installed? Im thrown off again!! HELP!!![
Thanks,
Ridge :( :confused:/COLOR]

I get to the "zvhrec" installation and then i get the $ but when I type su I get denied. Im lost as hell!!!

Be sure you are accepting the elevated privileges on the device too. ;) Also make sure that USB debugging is switched on.

Thanks. I redid the rooting thing in DOS. It looks like Ive rooted it and got the recovery put on (the xionia one). So am I done? Am I ready to flash ROMs in? It's been so frigging long since ive done this, Ive forgotten the order how things go LOL DUHHH hehe

If you've got root and your custom recovery, your next step is to make a nandroid backup of your stock Android. Boot into recovery and choose Backup and Restore.

Once you've got that, choose the VH ROM you want to mess with first, push it to the SD card, reboot to recovery and flash that puppy.

Oookay, crap. I think Ive just bricked the thing. I didnt do a backup and just flashed the ROM. Then I put in the added the "Reboot-plus-CRT" thingy and now it wont boot up. Dang, I thought I had it. Im bout ready to take myself and the phone out back and shoot us!! LOL

unless something went horribly wrong, you should still be able to boot into recovery. in that case, just wipe everything (system, data, cache, dalvik), and reflash the rom.

Use the three finger method to get into recovery, wipe all data, then

Flash Your Mom, reboot into the phone and set it up, then go back to recovery and flash the extra stuff.

FYI: I am not familiar with the mod you are trying to apply, but most of them suggest that you flash after at least the first boot. I imagine this make sure the file structure is properly in place before trying to overwrite it.
