I'm getting an OTA Update on my G2, Kit-Kat?

I was struggling with trying the the PC connection, so I just tired the check for update, and it had one. I didn't grab a screen shot. It was 600+ MB.

Downloading now, will try to grab a screen shot if I can.

Yep, its the OTA Kit-Kat update, will upload the screen shot once the update is completed.

I also couldn't get the PC update to work. This morning there was no OTA, and I just checked again and am downloading my OTA update.

Why is the OTA approx. 670MB and the software update from PC was nearly 2GB?
