I'm *keeping* my Note 7..

I've said it before and I will continue saying it; I plan to keep my N7 till the new models (S8 or N8) are released. I do not see the sense in "downgrading" to an S7 Edge at it's full price. It's a 7 month old phone and should be discounted heavily. I also don't want to lose my upgrade for year knowing that a new phone is only a few months away.

Exactly, same here

You can even put a 0.00 whatever percent that an iphone will combust, because it has happened. Point is, design flaw or not Samsung ultimately fell victim to negative public perception due to the media reports and had to issue the recall, which was the correct action. So to the iphone owners reading.....your phone is not any safer than the Note7, Apple just wants you to think it is.

For those of you who are keeping your Note 7's, you may want to check with your homeowners insurance to see if you are covered should anything happen due to the Note 7.

This article states that it's happening in the UK

I'm sure it would happen here too, the only difference is that the insurance companies won't tell you. I personally had 2 note 7's and returned them ASAP because I travel a lot for work and now it's "illegal" to bring them on a plane.

Other than the fact that this is false, right? The Note is literally many times more likely to have the battery combust than any other device we know of. If Apple had this problem at the same rate, with over 30 times the volume, wouldn't we have over 3,000 confirmed cases in just the US for the iPhone 7/+ and over 7,000 more from the prior generation?

Let us not forget again, the numbers stated are "reported" incidents and while there most certainly is a problem with the Note7 the numbers "reported" have NOT actually been proven to be because of the "unknown" flaw. There is the phrase..."Don't believe everything you read on the Internet." Take it for what it is.

I wanna keep mine but I just ordered a Pixel. What pushed me to purchase it was the 20% off coupon and the $200 credit for my Motorola razr maxx. Hope I don't regret giving it up. Wont get the pixel until Dec. 11

mine has received no updates; I did use the package disabler. Are other people in the US getting some sort of an update, or is this just something overseas?

November 1st here and I haven't seen any updates come through. I am using Package Disabler. I plan to do what it takes to keep this phone till the new ones are out.

Did you initiate the return in store? I'm trying to understand the return process. Over the phone, a sprint store associate told me I'd have to bring my phone into the store. Thanks
No they did it all on their own. I haven't gotten a box to return though.

Surprisingly Nobody complain or Informed that there Note 7 has got the Update of 60% battery only
Anyone out there ?
