I'm like freaking out - my tablet won't turn on

I was playing Flappy Bird around two nights ago when my battery drops to 15%.
I plug in my charger, and stop playing the game and the charge lowers. I had no apps open.
Then I figured it's just dead and needs a charging. I tried charging it overnight, and I woke up with it at 57%.
I check back on it later and it's dead. I tried charging it all day and tried holding for 15/30 sec, volume + power, etc. Nothing.
It's been charging until this morning, when I opened it up and reconnected the battery after taking it out.
I put it back to charge, and I see the charging icon flicker for a second. I've tried every method. Any advice?

I've been using the charger it came with, I've never rooted it, and I've never done anything risky to it.
It's in new condition but I've had it since Nov. 2012.

Thanks, but I've seen that way too many times.

I wonder if the battery failed. You could try getting a new battery online, although I'm not familiar with how to replace them.

I can't afford a new battery, and I doubt that's the problem.
