I'm not smrt enough to use titanium / mac

Greetings! I have a macbook pro and a verizon fascinate.

Is there a step by step way to use Titanium? My reasoning is that to back up angry birds, I need to use Titanium backup and "root" my phone. I have a medium amout of saavy, but looking around this seems to put people over the top. I am now completely intimidated by reading all the problems people seem to have have. I only want to be able to transfer my angry birds progress because my fascinate has a funked power port and it's on it's last legs. I won't be able to recharge it much longer and would really like to save my game data. It seems this is very difficult. Is there a place where I can just follow the steps without spending hours and hours and seemingly endless frustration? Should I advertise on craigslist for a local phone nerd to help me? Thanks for any help you can give.

What are your trepidations exactly? I know it can be overwhelming when you're first starting to learn all of this, but it really can be painless and easy, and the Fascinate forums on AC are just about the best out there as far as helping is concerned.

First, you should read through this thread, as it should answer some of your questions, and is an overall good place to start.

Also, you can check out this thread for first-time rooting instructions, and this thread for options using a Mac.
